In the early morning hours of a Sunday morning, dedicated cowboys and cowgirls gather on the open prairie north of Cheyenne, Wyoming to kick-off to the annual Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo. After a hearty breakfast at the chuckwagon, volunteers saddle up and the traditional cattle drive gets underway. Roughly 500 steers that will be used for the rodeo performances begin making the five mile journey to famous Frontier Park, where they will spend the next 14 days. The route is lined with locals from Cheyenne, as well as tourists from across the country that make the annual trek to relive the rich history of the American West.
