The annual Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo in Cheyenne, Wyoming has a rich tradition amongst Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association timed event contestants. Chute 9 boasts a 30 foot score line, which gives stock a significant advantage in the 700 foot long arena. Cowboys reign their horses back at the release of the stock, then spur on their quarter horse to make up the ground.
